Rowan, Herman T. 1923 - 2013 89, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on April 3, 2013. Survived by his loving wife, Teresa; sons, Sam and Nathaniel, daughter-in-law Jess and his sister, Sylvia Cooke and her family. Herman Rowan was born in New York City in 1923. During World War II, he served in the US Army Air Corps' 376th HBG "Liberandos" in North Africa and Italy. He traveled coast-to-coast, teaching and painting the landscapes he loved. He lived in Minneapolis for over 50 years, where he was a professor of Studio Arts at the University of Minnesota. Herman was a loving husband and father; he will be fondly remembered.
