James William Krause Obituary

Krause, James William age 82, of Pauma Valley, CA, died May 16, 2013 at home with his family. Jim was born May 21, 1930 in Fergus Falls, MN. He earned a BA at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, a JD at the University of Minnesota, and attended Harvard Business School. Jim lived the majority of his life in Minnesota, where his career included serving as a Professor at Concordia College, an Executive Vice President of Lutheran Brotherhood (Thrivent), and a multitude of activities as a self-employed businessman. Jim's volunteer activities included long term commitments to the Lutheran Church, Concordia College, Rotary International, the Boy Scouts of America, and higher education. Jim retired to Pauma Valley in 2004. Jim is survived by his wife, Roselyn; sons, Paul (Debbie), Alan, and John; brother, Don (Helen); and many nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by father, William, mother, Esmere, and brother, Leroy. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25th at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 16608 Hwy 76, Pauma Valley, CA 92061. Memorials may be directed to the St. Francis Scholarship fund or to Concordia College, 901 8th Street, Moorhead, MN 56562.
