Trudeau, John Alexander "Jack" age 86, of Edina, Minnesota, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 28, 2013. Jack was born June 8, 1927 to Oscar and Adelaide (Krusch) Trud- eau in Winona, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his son, Tim, his parents, and his only brother, Charles, and Charles' wife, Elaine. He graduated from Saint Thomas Academy in 1945. He served in the United States Navy in the Philippines at the end of World War II, then attended University of Saint Thomas and the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. He married his wife of 61 years, Jean Berreau, of Edina, on August 16, 1952. Jack had a long career in the advertising business starting his own firm, Trudeau & Associates. He was a member and past president of South Suburban Gyro International, a member of Toastmasters and of Our Lady of Grace church choir. Early days included traveling across the country with his six children in the "Blunderbus". Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, playing cards, league bowling, and the time spent on his island on Lake Vermillion. He and his wife Jean enjoyed over 60 years with their friends in Dinner Club, including time spent building and enjoying a houseboat. In later years Jack enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities and sporting events, and spending time at Wise Lake in Brainerd, Minnesota. Jack is survived by his wife, Jean, and his 5 children, Julie (Scott) Jones, Betsy (Bart) Butzer, Dan (Kristin) Trudeau, Mary (Paul) Carlson, Katy (Kevin) Stanek; grandchildren, Scott Wilson, Heather Ernst, and Ashley Ruud, Tim, Eric and Scott Butzer, Alex Trudeau and Max Perrine, Sara, Mike and Anna Carlson, Jack and Ava Stanek; great-grandchildren, Patrick, Ali Jo, Kate, Caleb, Breanna, Haley, Will; and his niece, Michele (Peter) Borne and their children, Christian and Claire. Visitation 5 PM Wednesday, October 2 with funeral service at 6 PM all at Our Lady of Grace Church, 5071 Eden Ave, Edina, MN 55436. Burial is on Thursday morning for family only.
