Hausmann, Kevin S. Went home to be with Jesus on March 14 after a long battle with problems caused by brain tumors. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew. He is survived by wife Linda, brother Jan (Joyce) Hausmann, nephews Karl and Benjamin Hausmann, and niece Elizabeth Hausmann. Kevin was born 3/7/51 in Alexandria MN and grew up on the family dairy farm. After high school, he attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Masters Degree. Kevin started his professional career teaching math and computer science in the Roseville school district. Later, he worked at the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium as the coordinator for the state universities. His last professional position was at Computer Land, where he served very capably as manager of several different departments. Kevin's faith was the cornerstone of his life. At St. John's Lutheran Church he sang in the choir, played in the handbell choir, and served on the church council, including a term as congregational president. Family and friends remember Kevin for his friendship, gentle spirit, leadership, and silly sense of humor. For over 32 years, he gave Linda his unconditional love and support. He was a wonderful husband and her best friend. Kevin had his first surgery for a brain tumor in 1988. Subsequent surgeries and radiation treatment took their toll. Although he could no longer do the work he loved, Kevin still wanted to contribute. He worked as a janitor in the local drug store and continued in many church activities including mission trips as long as he was able. He faced life with a remarkably positive attitude, and he never complained. Special thanks for loving care to the staff at Langton Place (Presbyterian Homes), the Health Partners Hospice staff, and his many friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 2451 Fairview Lane, Mound, MN 55364 (952-472-1416), with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment. Memorials are preferred to the St. John's Foundation or donor's choice. Huber Funeral & Cremation Services Mound Chapel 952-472-1716 www.huberfunerals.com
