Richard Louis Matuseski Obituary

Matuseski, Richard Louis Richard was born February 14, 1941 in Moose Lake, Minnesota and died peacefully at his winter home in Oro Valley, Arizona on April 11, 2013 after a short battle with cancer. Richard graduated as the class valedictorian of Moose Lake High School. He went on to receive a degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy in 1965. Affectionately known as "Dr. Dick," Richard had a lifelong love of Pharmacy. At the height of his career, he was the sole proprietor of Yankee Drug in Eagan, Minnesota. Richard then lent his many talents to Walgreens before retiring in 2006. Richard will be missed by many family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jil Oswalt-Matuseski, his mother Shirley, children Paige, Pam (Jim), Cara (Scott), Penny (Tim) and Joe (Ava), as well as nine grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his father Peter, sister Barbara and brother Tom. He looked forward to meeting his beloved dog, Gidget, at the rainbow bridge. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 17 at 5 PM, with visitation one-hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4625 West 125th Street, Savage. Memorials may be directed to the "University of MN Foundation Matuseski Scholarship." Dr. Dick was proud to be a Golden Gopher.
