Johnson, Wyman age 77, of Pierre, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Per his wishes there will be no services. You Are My Sunshine - My Only Sunshine... Wyman was born on June 23, 1936 to Carold and Mildred (Williams) Johnson in Dassel, MN. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN, graduating from North High. He went on and attended the University of Minnesota for two years. Wyman was a member of the Minnesota National Guard from six years. He was united in marriage to Donna Johnson in Las Vegas. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. A printer turned stockbroker, Wyamn loved hunting ducks and geese, fishing walleyes and making money. He loved his two adult children from his marriage to Connie McCormick. When asked what do you want to be when you grow up, he always answered I want to be a farmer. At 57 he became a farmer, moving to the Oahe Reservoir in Sully County where he fished and hunted and watched his land be farmed and ranched. He lived a great happy life. A week before he died on his last fishing trip (even though four of his friends had to lift him in the boat) he caught a big northern with a 17 inch walleye in its belly winning all the money for the largest walleye, most fish caught and largest fish. He is survived by his wife Donna; daughter, Lori Johnson; son, Jeffrey (Melissa) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Yvonne Hetland. Memorials may be directed to Jeffrey Johnson: 17843 Quantum Place, Pierre, SD 57501. ...You Make Me Happy When Skies Are Gray. (Wyman's favorite song was "You Are My Sunshine")
