SINGLETON, Robert J., 63, of Richmond, died June 16, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Catherine Singleton; his uncle, Joseph O'Connor; and his cousin, Mae Conroy, all of Queens, N.Y. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary McGinnis Singleton; and their dear children, James and Catherine, all of Richmond. He is also survived by his cousin, Neil O'Keefe of San Diego, Calif. Bob graduated as a Regents scholar from Mater Christi High School in Astoria, N.Y. and then graduated from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., where he was a member Phi Kappa Tau fraternity. He earned a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Notre Dame and worked as a corporate and employment lawyer for Revlon Inc., Crane Co., Westvaco and James River. Bob helped many with his strong and practical intellect and regaled all with his Irish wit. He was so very loved and will be deeply missed. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 4491 Springfield Rd., and where a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Foundation, Indiana Chapter, 6525 E. 82nd St. #115, Indianapolis, Ind. 46250.
