Alfred Robert "Bob" Proper Obituary

Bob was born at home on February 13, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri He left this mortal earth on Monday August 25, 2014. Leaving behind his loving wife of 52 years Nancy Paxton Proper, his devoted son Jason Robert Proper, father Bernard Proper, sister Karen Beard, brothers in law Fred Beard of Beaumont, Bobby J. Tanner of Colleyville, Kenneth Arnold of Abilene and many loving nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School class of '59 and attended University of Maryland and University of Texas in Arlington. Bob retired from the City of Dallas Fire Service after 30 dedicated years. He served his country with honor through the United States Army in Viet Nam. A man of giving heart and faithful service with a passion for fishing the lakes and deep sea fishing which he never got enough of. Preceded in death by his son Mark Steven Proper, mother May Kelley Proper, sister Zeta Arnold. In lieu of flowers you may honor Bob with a contribution to St Jude's Children's Hospital, an animal rescue of your choice, Lymphoma/Leukemia Blood Cancer Research or your favorite charity. Visitation: Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Greenwood - Arlington Chapel Service: Wednesday, Sept 3, 2011 at 2pm - Greenwood Arlington Chapel
