On Saturday, May 19, 2012, Lt. Col. Richard C. Sharp succumbed to sudden heart failure while dining with family. Lt. Colonel Richard C. Sharp was born in Visalia, Calif., on July 9, 1924, to Victor R. Sharp and Virginia Messick Sharp. He attended Visalia High School and graduated in 1942.
