Donovan King passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014. His wife and daughters were at his side. He was 55.
Donovan worked for the National Education Association, and previously, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, both in Washington, D.C. He studied at Cornell University, the University of Wisconsin at Madison and Lewis and Clark College.
Donovan dedicated his life to serving others and making the world a better place. He faithfully worshiped God. He worked tirelessly for worker rights and social justice. He was a devoted husband and father to his wife, Diane and their daughters, Christina and Angeline.
He is also survived by his mother, Luanne; brothers Peter and Jeff, sisters-in-law Lisa, Cindy, Beth, Jenni, Lori, Karen and Wendy; brothers-in-law, Bruce, Chaz and Chris; an uncle and aunt, Tom and Esther and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; his brothers Todd and John and sister-in-law, Lorraine.
