Albert "Al" George Aubin, 83, of Manchester, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Elliot Hospital.
Mr. Aubin was born in Manchester, October 16, 1930 to Felix and Delphine (Bergeron) Aubin. He attended local schools and graduated from Ste Marie High School in 1948.
He served as a Sargeant in the US Army Air Corp. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and the American Legion Jutras Post #43. He was also a member and past president of the LaFayette Club where he has held every office.
Al managed Demers Plate Glass Co. for 30 years and then worked in sales for his son Bill's company, Queen City Glass & Mirrors for 19 years. He retired in 2011.
Al was a devoted family man who worked hard all of his life and was loved dearly by family and friends.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Gray in 1975, a brother Roger and a sister, Fernande Gardner.
Members of his family include his wife of 31 years: Helen (Brower) Aubin of Manchester, 5 sons:William A. of Manchester, George M. of Hooksett, Ronald R. of Bradenton, FL, Andre of West Sharon, MA, Dennis J. of Weare, a daughter: Michelle LaBelle of Lancaster, MA, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers: Gerald Aubin of Goffstown, Raymond Aubin of Annapolis, MD, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves 2 step-sons: Norman L. Sanborn of Sante Fe, NM, Robert J. Sanborn of Mashpee, MA, 6 step-daughters: Maureen E. McMillan of Hunterville,NC, Cheryl A. Jacques, Stephanie P. Bagg, Brenda L. Ciampa all of Manchester, Diane P.Kohut of Londonderry,Gail P. Apostolos of Newmarket, 11 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great grandchildren and 2 step-great great grandchildren.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St. A service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
