Earl E. Brandenburg Obituary

Earl E. Brandenburg, age 91, of Council Bluffs, passed away April 26, 2013, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson.

He was born June 29, 1921, in Ute, Iowa, to the late John and Sylvia (Gries) Brandenburg. Earl served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Postal service in 1989.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

Earl is survived by his wife, Katherine Brandenburg; daughter, Connie Reichardt; son and daughter-in-law, Rep. Mark Brandenburg and his wife, Debbie; brother, Clifford Brandenburg (Kathy); sister, Ione Zabava; 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Sunday, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Monday, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment is in the Garner Township Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
