Earl Dean Ward Obituary



Earl Dean Ward, age 76, Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away Friday April 5, 2013, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

Earl was born March 25, 1937, in Iowa to Ernest and Martha Tieman Ward, and following graduation from high school, served his country in the US Army. Earl worked as a sign erector for Neon Products and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Eagles Club, Elks Lodge and IBW Local 22 of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Martha; wife, Patricia Ann, in 2002; and brother, Art Mass.

Survivors include daughter, Cynthia Ward and friend, Donny Snyder; son, Michael Ward and wife, Mary; granddaughters, Taylor and Spenser Ward, all Council Bluffs; special friend, Eileen Seaton, of Omaha; brother, Irv Mass and wife, Norma Jean; and sisters-in-law, Norma Mass, all of Council Bluffs, June Weseen (Jack), Opal Wilson (Dale), Joyce Kern (Rick), Donna Trebilcock, Rachel Beitler (Don), Linda Rickard, Barb Rickard, Debbie Washka (Larry), many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family Monday, 6 to 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Graveside services Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Walnut Hill Cemetery with military rites by VFW. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Walnut Hill Reception Center for cortege to grave. Family will direct memorials.
