Phillip Andrew Crank PINEY FLATS, Tenn. Phillip Andrew Crank age 27, went to be with the Lord Aug. 25, 2012. He was born Oct. 5, 1984, in Bristol, Tenn. Phillip went to Sullivan East High School where he graduated in 2003, upon graduation he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. He was a veteran of foreign war and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Phillip was awarded several medals which include: Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Mast, Letter of Appreciation, Rifle Expert Badge(3rd Award) and Pistol Expert Badge. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Preceding him in death grandparents, John Jr. and Shirley Crank; and grandmother, Violet Marie Perry. He is survived by his parents, Marshall and Tamarie Crank; sister, Deanna Hite and husband Robby; nieces, Kyleigh and Brinley Hite; grandfather, Sam Perry; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at 8 p.m. in the River of Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Humphrey and the Rev. Bryan Moore officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. The committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Eastern Heights Cemetery conducted by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
