Larson, Eric Leif, 64, a caring and loving man who loved his country, his family, friends and his dogs, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013. Visitation Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00pm, Broadway Mortuary. Funeral Service 10:30am, Wednesday, Bethany United Methodist Church. He was born, March 26, 1949, in Sioux City, IA. He was adopted 3 weeks later by Dr. Karl T. Larson and Margaret Coryell. A few years later they adopted a second child, Ann. His parents divorced at the age of 12 and Eric resided with his father. He graduated from Ames High School in 1968. He soon joined the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He married Ngoc Huong Thi Pham in 1972. They had one daughter, Elizabeth born on Dec. 10, 1973. Eric then retired from the Air Force in 1989. He then began a second career, refueling planes at Beechcraft. He divorced in 1992. He then married Desiree Tomlinson on March 24, 1997 and soon after adopted her daughter Danielle. Survivors include wife Desi; daughters, Dani and Elizabeth (Brett Miller) Larson; grandchildren, Haley and Bryce. His parents, Karl and Margaret preceded him in death.
