October 27, 2014 "I have a memory of Mr Whitlam when I was a young girl of about 11. I stood next to him at a school assembly to speak about sports day at the school. It was intimidating and I lost the words. Mr Whitlam assisted me through that and saved my dignity. Thank you Mr Whitlam. My sincere sympathy to the Whitlam family. He was a great man and I cherish the memory."
