Herbert Eismann Obituary

Herbert "Bud" Eismann On Friday, January 18, 2013, Bud Eismann passed away at home in Keswick, Virginia, with his family, at age 91. His wife of 63 years, Beverly, and his daughter, Nancy, were keeping him comfortable when he passed peacefully. Bud was born on February 9, 1921, in Malden, Massachusetts. As a younger man, Bud had his own big band, called the "Buddy Mann" Orchestra which performed in the Boston area. Bud was a World War II veteran, and worked at G.E. for over 30 years. He was devoted to his family and loved to play music. Bud was active in the Charlottesville senior band, the Flashbacks, in which he played tenor sax and loved the old dance band music. He was an artist and made wood carvings throughout his life. He moved to the Charlottesville area over 30 years ago, and lived 14 years at Lake Monticello. He always had a sharp mind and was a wonderfully kind and generous person. A celebratory memorial service is planned from 5 until 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at JABA, 674 Hillsdale Drive, Charlottesville, Virginia. All family, friends and band members are welcome to attend. Refreshments and Music will be provided. Please call 434-295-1033 for more information.
