Leonard Cabral Obituary

Leonard Cabral, age 91, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Dilys Jean (Edwards) Cabral. Leonard was born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Manuel J. and Maria (Carreira) Cabral. Mr. Cabral was a lifelong resident of Fall River. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Cabral was employed by the former Fall River Knitting Mills as a knitter mechanic retiring in 1988. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Angels Parish. Besides his wife of 65 years, he is survived by one daughter, Donna Menard and late husband Ronald of Fall River, , two sons, Alan Cabral and wife Shelby of East Providence, RI and Brian Cabral and wife Rachelle of Fall River, a sister, Lillian Furtado of Fall River, six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He also was the father of the late Michael Cabral and late wife Karen, grandfather of the late Jason Cabral and Kimberly Aubin, the brother of the late Mary Pontes and Beatrice Amaral. Mr. Cabral's funeral service, will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 9:00AM from the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Good Shepherd Church, 1598 South Main St., Fall River. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM.
