WALTER CARTER Obituary


CARTER, Walter Lee, 88, of Richmond, widower of Bernice Fauber Carter, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Carter-Brown and her husband, David; his son, Roger L. Carter; four grandchildren, Leigh Erica Carter, Joshua Carter, Ian Brown and Hannah Brown; several nieces and nephews. Lee Carter was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles for 38 years. He was a World War II veteran and a long-standing member of Chamberlayne Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Chamberlayne Baptist Church. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the United Way.
