Michael Duenas Obituary

MICHAEL JOHN DUENAS APRIL 20, 1976 - JAN. 29, 2007 Michael John Duenas, age 30, a resident of Modesto; and formerly of Pleasanton, passed away January 29, 2007 at Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Jodie; four daughters, Venessa, Caroline, Kayla and Kylee; his mother, Marian Haverty; father, John Duenas; two sisters, Catherine Duenas and Mary Osgood.

He was a loving husband, son, brother; and wonderful father of four daughters. He was an avid fan of 49'ers, Giants and San Jose Sharks. He enjoyed fishing and soccer.

He is also survived by his half- sister, Christie; and half brother, David.

Visitation will be held Thurs., Feb. 1 from 4:00-8:00pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Ave., Modesto. Services will be held Friday, Feb. 2; 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on 1813 Oakdale Rd., Modesto.

A trust fund is currently being set up for Jodie and the girls

Dear Marian, Jodie and Family

Words cannot express what is in my heart. We knew Michael when he was a little boy. We watched as he grew into a teenager. What a gifted athlete he was. And so very handsome.
His Grandpa Michael was our best friend and he was so proud of Michael. It is hard to understand why they leave us so soon. My salvation is knowing we will be together some day. I look forward to seeing him again.
