Raley Kirby Obituary
PHILO – Raley Lynn Kirby, age 7 weeks, of Philo passed away Friday, June 13, 2008, at Children's Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Freese Funeral Home, 202 W. Main, Sidney, with the Rev. Ken Hutchens officating. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Philo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Raley was born April 26, 2008, in Urbana, the daughter of Lucas and Leslie McGraw Kirby.
She is survived by her parents of Philo; her paternal grandparents, Dale and Judy Kirby of Philo; her maternal grandparents, Mark and Jill Runck of St. Joseph and Terry McGraw of Philo; her maternal great-grandparents, John and Marge Seaman of Urbana, Robert Corray of St. Joseph, Robert and Fay Runck of St. Joseph and Janie McGraw of Urbana; her paternal great-grandparents, Harold and Pat Kirby of Thomasboro; her great-great-grandma Clara Runck of Sheldon; her great-great-grandpa Bobby Sloman of Ceadertown, Ga.; three aunts, Kari Kaisner of Philo and Ashley Runck and Taylor Runck of St. Joseph; her uncle Andrew McGraw of Philo; and two cousins, Sophia and Abigail Kaisner of Philo.
In Raley's short life, she melted many hearts, and she will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Luke & Leslie:
You don't know us, but our son Micah passed away June 8 on his 8th day on this earth. We know that these days are overwhelmingly sad and tiring. May God grant you His Peace as you go thru this time. It is true that Micah and Raley are in a much better place than we are, but it sure does hurt for us to be without them here.
We are going to be attending a support group called Empty Arms in Champaign - one of the founders is Bob's co-worker Meghan, who lost her son at 22 days old a few years back. Let us know if you are interested in learning more about that.
PS: Bob used to be one of the auditors from Champaign that audited Luke's Mom at the Bank :-)

Dear Luke and Leslie, Little Raley captured my heart on her very first day. Such a sweet and beautiful little girl! I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know your pain so very well. I lost my infant daughter, Breylie, in January. I can not take away your pain but I can truly relate to how you feel. I'd be glad to talk if you ever need someone who knows what it's like. You All are in my Prayers!

Please know that a day didn't go by that I didn't include you and your little girl in my prayers. Our hearts break for you. It is so hard to understand why things happen at times. Lean on others for help getting through this rough time and hold those memories of Raley close. She will smile down on you for you made her brief life here on earth very special and I am sure she knew how much she was loved. Let us know if we can do ANTYHING to help. I am keeping Amanda's boys so she can come to the visitation tonight - but my thoughts will be there too (you are a very special couple).
