Lynn Redgrave was a beloved member of one of acting’s most talented families.
She was the daughter of legendary British actors Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson; sister of actors Vanessa Redgrave and Corin Redgrave; sister-in-law of director Tony Richardson; and aunt of actors Natasha Richardson and Joely Richardson.
But Lynn Redgrave had a powerful talent all her own.
Redgrave died 2 May 2010, after a long struggle with breast cancer. Born 8 March 1943, we’re celebrating her birthday by watching some of her best work.
One of Redgrave’s first movies was Georgy Girl – and she won a Golden Globe for her starring role.
We always love seeing our favorite stars let down their hair a bit and have fun on a game show. Here’s Redgrave holding her own on The $100,000 Pyramid with Dick Clark.
1998 brought Redgrave another Golden Globe-winning role, that of housemaid Hanna in Gods and Monsters.
