Anthony Addabbo (1960 - 2016)

Anthony Addabbo, an actor known for roles on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “Guiding Light,” died Oct. 19, according to a colleague. He was 56.

Born Sep. 14, 1960, in Coral Gables, Florida, Addabbo broke into television acting in the late 1980s, becoming well-known to soap opera fans with his 1997 dual role on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He played Tony “Rush” Carrera and Jonny Carrera through 1998. A two-year stint on “Guiding Light” followed from 1999 to 2000, playing Jim Lemay.

Addabbo’s other notable roles included appearances on “Wings,” “Cheers,” “Dallas,” and “Homeland.” He appeared on several episodes of “Red Shoe Diaries.”

Winsor Harmon, a “The Bold and the Beautiful” co-star who announced Addabbo’s death, remembered him in a post on Facebook: “Today we lost a damn good man a father and great actor .. We shared many glasses of Vino Rosso together brother. I’ll never forget how excited you were to land B&B. By the way you still owe me that lobster dinner. I’ll collect next time I see ya.”

Addabbo is survived by his wife and son.
