Indonesia Earthquake Victims

At least 97 people were killed early Wednesday in the wake of a 6.5 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia's Aceh province, according to CNN.

The death toll included children, CNN reported, citing information obtained by Aceh Army Chief Commander Major General Tatang Sulaiman. Another 73 people were injured.

Stores, homes, and mosques were damaged in the quake, which took place during early morning prayers.

Rescuers continued to search for survivors.
