James Woolley (1966 - 2016)

James Woolley, a former keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails, has died, according to a Facebook post from his ex-wife, Kate Van Buren. He was 49.

“James passed away this weekend. I wanted our friends to know so you can please keep Brendan, Mary and Anne, the Woolley family and all his loved ones in your prayers.”

Woolley played with the industrial rock band from 1991 to 1994. He played with the band for the 1991 Lollapalooza tour, and he played on and appears in the videos for the songs “Wish” and “March of the Pigs.”

Before joining Nine Inch Nails, he was a major contributor for the Chicago band Die Warzau. After his stint with NIN, he again worked with Die Warzau. He also toured with Rob Halford’s band Two. He later worked as a sound designer for “The Simpsons” and led his own band, which was called VOID.
