Katie May, a Sports Illustrated magazine model also known as the Queen of Snapchat, has died of a stroke, according to multiple news sources. She was 34.

May, who also partnered in marketing with a website dedicated to betting on sports, died Thursday morning. She had been hospitalized since Monday for a neck injury that she sustained in a fall while taking part in a photographic shoot.

She was a single mother of a 7-year-old daughter, Mia.

May, who grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has nearly 2 million followers on the photo-driven websites Instagram and Snapchat.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support her daughter.

"Anyone who was lucky enough to know Katie May was truly blessed by her incredible heart, mind and soul," reads an update on the page, which has raised more than $10,200 toward a goal of $100,000. "She was an inspiration and a guiding light to so many people in this world.

"Please help us by donating money to support her daughter. We want to raise as much money for her daughter's living trust as possible to ensure she will always be taken care of. Her daughter was Katie's whole life, so please help Katie and her family by donating money."
