When baby Ryan Michael Jolley died, at just five days old, his family struggled to cope with his loss. As his parents, Ashlee Hammac and Timothy Michael Jolley, grieved for their son, they tried to find a way for Ryan's older brother, Tucker, to connect with the memory of his little brother and mourn his passing. Ashlee came up with the idea of building a sandbox at Ryan's grave, so that Tucker could come and play with his little brother, who he instantly bonded with during Ryan's time in the hospital. The image of Tucker at Ryan's grave has spread through social media, bringing attention to Ryan's death, and the organization Ashlee Hammac began in his honor. Pass along Ryan's story to your loved ones.
