Update: Dozens Honor Kentucky's Oldest WWII Veteran

When 107-year-old World War II veteran Roscoe Cassidy died, he was afraid that since he had outlived his friends and comrades, no one would be left to attend his funeral. At his memorial service on Saturday, Cassidy was honored by dozens of friends, relatives, and complete strangers who made the trip to honor the life of the nation’s second oldest WWII veteran. According to Lex18.com, dozens of veterans from across the country showed up to pay their respects to Cassidy. His son Mike told WKYT.com his father would be "Shocked" and "overwhelmed." He added "It would just bring tears to his eyes to know that he was appreciated like this."
