Few time periods have fascinated the world quite like the golden age of the Wild West. As lawmen fought outlaws, cowboys saddled up and gunslingers slung their guns, they did so with remarkable style that's been imitated and recreated for generations in movies, on television, in books and in children's dress-up costumes and games. But none of these modern-day homages are quite as wonderful as the real deal: the people of the 19th century American West. Today, on the anniversary of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp's death, we're remembering 20 of the men and women who put the wild in Wild West. Whether they were good guys, bad guys or somewhere in between, they have one thing in common: They're all fascinating.
