A Mother's Last Wish

As Becky Swales's three daughters planned their weddings, their mother was battling breast cancer. One thing was crucial to all four family members: Swales needed to see her girls get married.

A triple wedding was planned for late October, but when Swales's condition began to worsen quickly, the wedding was moved up to last Sunday. The sisters said their vows with their mother in the church's front pew.

The next day, Becky Swales died.

We're remembering this mother's last wish, as well as the lives of all who have died of breast cancer. Read the stories of Swales's last days, then visit our Breast Cancer Memorial Site to honor others who fought this terrible disease.
