When Pauline Phillips put pen to paper, she became a completely different person. That person was Abigail Van Buren – "Dear Abby" as she was known to her legion of loyal readers. The celebrated advice columnist, and twin sister to equally famous columnist Ann Landers, died Jan. 16, 2013, at age 94.

Van Buren left behind a massive legacy of good advice. Some of her advice was funny, some sassy, some very serious. And some of it was just plain weird… but only because some of the questions asked of her were equally weird. Many of these were immortalized in Van Buren's The Best of Dear Abby collection, and some of them are too strange to believe.
But can you guess which ones? Take our quiz featuring five letters to Dear Abby. For each we'll give you three responses to choose from: one is the real deal, Dear Abby's actual answer; the other two are fakes, made up by us. How many can you get right?
