In the decades since, his music and movies made Elvis the undisputed king of the genre and turned his life story into legend. As we celebrate the anniversary of his birth on Jan. 8, 1935, his legacy as an electrifying entertainer remains as strong as ever. His home, Graceland, still draws rock 'n’ roll pilgrims each year, his albums continue to inspire and amaze, and the stories of his rise to fame still enthrall us.
