Gloria Card Obituary

SUSSEX - Gloria A. Card, 77, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Milford Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Milford.

Born in Sussex, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Draper, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Card had been employed by High Point Regional High School as a food service worker for 15 years and retired in 1977. She had been a member of the Sussex United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde E. Card in 1998 and her two sisters, Ruth Loesch and Doris Riddle.

Mrs. Card is survived by her four sons, Jack C. Card and his wife, Mary, of Sussex, Thomas E. Card and his wife, Debra, of Wantage, Jeffrey A. Card of Sussex, and Gary L. Card and his wife, Helen, of Byram; two sisters, Lorraine Simons of Unionville and Myrna Hollifield of North Carolina; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Wantage. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Sussex Fire Department and First Aid Squad, 25 Loomis Ave., Sussex, NJ 07461.
