Patrick Sliker Obituary

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Patrick "Pat" Sliker, 54, of Van Nuys, Calif., died as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, in Northridge.

Born and raised in Newton, he attended Newton and Andover schools. He resided in Van Nuys, and worked in construction. His dream was to get his commercial driver's license and drive tractor trailers from coast to coast, which he did and enjoyed.

Mr. Sliker was predeceased by his mother, Marion L. Correll; his father, Gerald M. Sliker Sr.; his sister, Garnet Mistkowski; and his brother, Scotty Sliker.

He is survived by his loving family, which includes his son, Austin Sliker of Sacramento; his stepfather, Hilbert Correll of Uniondale, Pa.; his two sisters, Karla Ritzer and her companion, William Scerbo, of East Stroudsburg, Pa., and Angie Lynch and her husband, Darren, of Walnut Cove, N.C.; his two brothers, Jack Sliker of Lansford, Pa. and G. Martin Sliker Jr. and his wife, Emma, of Newton; three stepbrothers, Curt Correll and his wife, Beverly, of Uniondale, Clint Correll and his wife, Barbara, of Williamsburg, Va., and Leonard Correll and his wife, Sandy, of Smyrna, Del.; one stepsister, Sharen Lutzher and her husband, Wayne, of Fair Lawn; and many nieces and nephews.

We are saddened to learn that you are no longer with us. We will miss you very much. Though your body is not here, your spirit is free, happy and lives Forever.
