Marguerite Higbie Obituary

WEST DEPTFORD - Marguerite Higbie, 77, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at VITAS Hospice at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford.

Born in Chester, N.Y., Mrs. Higbie lived in Branchville for 55 years before moving to West Deptford. She was a former secretary for the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office in Newton.

The daughter of the late Floyd and Ellen Juckett Vosburgh, Mrs. Higbie is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Higbie; two children, Terri Wilson and her husband, Peter, and Lisa Wolff and her husband, Steve, all of West Deptford; two brothers, Vernon Vosburg of Titusville, Fla., and Donald Vosburgh of Hamilton; one sister, Carolyn Conroy of Dingmans Ferry, Pa.; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Tom, Christopher and Stephanie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville. Interment will follow in Branchville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to VITAS Hospice Charitable Fund, 521 Fellowship Road, Suite 110, Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054.
