Elvira Markisello Obituary

WARWICK, N.Y. - Elvira "Vera" R. Michielini Markisello, 96, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Schervier Pavilion.

Mrs. Markisello was born in New York City on Aug. 13, 1922 to Frank and Columba Michielini. Mrs. Markisello was a life-long New Jersey resident, living the last 16 years at Crystal Springs, Hardyston.

She was an active member of the Hardyston Township Senior Citizens, the Hardyston Bowling League and the Hardyston Heritage Society.

Mrs. Markisello was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dominick R. Markisello, in 2005.

She is survived by her loving sons, Dennis F. Markisello, retired U.S.A.F. Colonel, and his wife, Kim Fitzpatrick, of Beavercreek, Ohio, and Robert J. Markisello of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Christine Fitzpatrick and her husband, Michael Yttri, U.S.A.F. Captain, of Warner Robins, Ga., Anne Bronaugh and her husband, Tim, of Arlington, Va., and Michael Markisello and his wife, Heidi, of Dayton, Va., and 11 great-grandchildren. She was also blessed with her special best friend, Josephine Evicci.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Patricia Rossi, for her exemplary care, and to all the caregivers at St. Anthony's Community Hospital and Schervier Pavilion.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. at Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94 Vernon, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Franklin. Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hardyston Township First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 129, Stockholm, N.J. 07460.
