Viola D'Andrea Obituary

WANTAGE - Viola R. D'Andrea, 80, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 at Andover Nursing Home and Rehabilitation in Andover, with her family by her side.

She was born Oct. 5, 1927 in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Dominick and Amelia Dinora Santini. She was a member of St. Monica's R.C. Church in Sussex.

Her husband of 49 years, Dominic D'Andrea, died on Jan. 2, 1996.

Mrs. D'Andrea is survived by three children, Dominic D'Andrea, of Wantage, Thomas D'Andrea and his wife, Kim, of Milford, Pa., and Lisa D'Andrea of Montague; two brothers, Anthony "Tony" Santini and his wife, Patty, of Milford, and Dominick "Tar" Santini and his wife, Flo, of Port Jervis, N.Y.; her sister, Virginia Gallo, and her husband, Henry, of West Paterson; four grandchildren, Karrie, Dylan, April and Vincent D'Andrea; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her beloved daschund, "Pepe."

Friends may call at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, on Thursday, Sept. 11, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 8:15 p.m., with the Rev. Daniel O'Hare officiating. Cremation will be handled by H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pa.
