Philomena Teresa Miskovich

OGDENSBURG - Philomena Teresa Miskovich, 74, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Newton Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Born to Thomas and Catherine Gethins in County Sligo, Ireland, she came to the United States in 1961, settling in Ogdensburg. Mrs. Miskovich was a dedicated homemaker and a parishioner of St. Thomas of Aquin R.C. Church in Ogdensburg, as well as a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Mrs. Miskovich was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas, Patrick, James, Brendan, infant Francis; and her sister, Maureen.

Mrs. Miskovich is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Thomas J. Miskovich. She was the devoted mother of Tom Miskovich and his wife, Carol, of Andover; Maureen Bulwicz and her husband, Richard, of York, Pa., and Dymphna Dykstra and her husband, Lee, of Andover; loving grandchildren, Christine, Tommy, Kevin, Devin, Aidan, Ian, Carley and Leah; her brother, John Gethins, of England; her sisters, Margaret Butkewich of Toms River, Kathleen Kilgannon of Ireland, Nancy Stein, her twin, also of Toms River, and Betty Connolly, of Bloomfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, on Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, 11 a.m., to a noon Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas of Aquin R.C. Church, Ogdensburg. Interment will follow at St. Thomas of Aquin Cemetery.
