I miss my friend Herbal. Work will never be the same without him there. We never did figure out what crew he was on, since he was always here. I'll wear that ring he found for me in the junk tower until the day I die.

Dear Linda and family,
My deepest sympathy to all of you. I know from the few times I met Herb what a wonderful guy he was. He was always ready to have fun and from the stories you told me, he lived life to the fullest and always made you smile! I know this has been a long and difficult battle and even though we have not seen each other in a long time, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care and keep in touch. Love, Karen Hess (Foxwoods)

Herbie and I worked many hours together at the Rand Whitney Mill. Now, I think I know why Herbie went to the other side before me. God, must have had an important position open and needed one of the best to except the job.
Sadly missed until we meet again,

Linda, Jen and Christine,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Herbie was a great guy with a perpetual smile. He always had a kind word and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. The world is a better place for having had him in it.

Herbie was a good worker, great family man, and a very caring and loving human being. I will always remember the times I see him at the Plainfield VFW playing pool. He would come over and slap me on the back and ask me if he could buy me a beer. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Herbie I will see you at the next stop.

I shall miss my Peka (Herb Jones). He was a great Grandpa, magician and role model. He was more like a father and a best friend instead of a grandpa.Good days or not he always had a smile on his face. I will miss playing with Peka and talking to him about sports and school etc. He always made time for me and my brother and could make a joke out of anything. I keep his picture by my bed and his memory in my heart.

I just wanted to thank everyone who has left a message in regards to my husband. Many people spend their entire life searching for their soulmate. I was lucky enough to find my soulmate over 32 WONDERFUL years ago. To lose someone who meant the world to you is the hardest thing anyone could go through. Remembering all the good memories and all the laughter we shared helps me get through each day. I would like to thank everyone who has been by our side through Herb's battle with cancer.
Thank you
Linda

To everyone,
Thank all of you for sending a message in regards to our father. All throughout his two year battle of cancer he never gave up no matter how hard it got and always had a smile on his face. He was a great man and truly enjoyed life. He had no enemies just lots of people who really cared for him. Through laughter and hard work he touched the lives of so many people. He will truly be missed but never ever forgotten.

God bless
Jen and Christine

Linda and Jennifer and Christine, I wanted to let you know that Herbie was an amazing person, one who I thought of often, and who will definately make heaven a better place to be, where he will never have to eat turnips my mistake again!
