Pat,
I have to tell you, your son was the best friend i have ever had. He did everything to help me and never gave up. I will always remember watching movies in your basement.. teaching him how to dance (or at least trying!)swimming in your pool..or just acting stupid. Every day gets harder without him, but just remember that I'm still here. He's watching over us now and so is Darlene.

"Life is not a matter of counting the years, it's a matter of making the years count." <- they definately did.

R.I.P Patty Cake & Darlene!

Mr.Perkins- and family...
I am really sorry for such a sudden loss. Pat was in my class at the Joshua Center, he always made the students and staff laugh. He was really good at helping me with my algebra! We all miss him a lot. BUt something i try to keep in mind is a saying, that living on eath is only the beginning of your jouney, the rest goes on in the after life... so i guss that Pat and his mother's journies were ready to expand! I do know that it is goingto be a hard thing to move on from. I am doing a scrap book page for a loved one i just lost and i was wondering if you would like to set one up about Pat and his mother. You can contact me thru email if you would like, i would be more that willing to.

Although I did not know Patrick nor his mother, I know what the family is going through due to my husbands death a year ago on Jan 6. I know the grief is entire body consuming and overwhelming, but when it starts to ebb, and it will, think of all the good memories you have made with them both. Remember all the good times and how they lived their lives so you can continue their dreams for them. You all have my sympathy and understanding.

Pat,
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers - there aren't words enough to ease the grief you are experiencing but I hope that knowing there are people you haven't had contact with for many, many years are thinking of you helps. You helped me when you were a boy living across the street when our dog died, an act of kindness that still is a dear memory for me. You are in my prayers.

Pat and Family,
It is so hard to find the words to say at a time like this. I have fond memories of Pat Jr. He was a great kid and was always laughing and joking with us. He would always stop and say HI when I was waiting for bingo at Strawberry Park. He was so excited about graduation this year and he wanted to become a police officer. Sometimes we would get into some pretty intense conversations when he had a few problems. I always told him it would work out and it did. He'd come back with a smile and said you were right. He'd smile and go on his way. We'll never forget him. God Bless all of you...
