Daniel Barden Obituary
He was the youngest of three children and in a statement to the media, his family said Daniel earned his missing two front teeth and ripped jeans.
"Words really cannot express what a special boy Daniel was. Such a light. Always smiling, unfailingly polite, incredibly affectionate, fair and so thoughtful towards others, imaginative in play, both intelligent and articulate in conversation: in all, a constant source of laughter and joy," the family said.
His father, Mark is a local musician. The New Haven Register reported that Mark was scheduled to play a show at a restaurant in Danbury on Friday, a show that was later cancelled.
On the biography on his professional website, Mark Barden lists spending time with his family as his favorite thing to do.
Funeral services are planned for Wednesday.

Thinking of and your family today, sweet Daniel. To me it is important to learn about the victims lives. It makings my heart both happy and sad hearing about your passions, what your personality was like, and even specific memories from your short little life. Even without knowing you, I can tell what an angelic little boy you were. I really wish that I would of found about you another way... like maybe in the future you would of accomplished something amazing, or become a musician, we will never know... all I know is I would much rather know of you of that way. I try to stay as updated with the Sandy Hook Promise foundation, that your parents helped create. You are changing lives Daniel, you really are. You changed so many peoples lives while on earth and now many more while in heaven. I just wish things like this would stop already, it really hurts my heart, some people just don’t get it. It’s become so common today that I’m not even surprised when I hear about a shooting, and it makes me sick. Little by little, and day by day people are starting to realize. One day it will end, I promise! May you rest in eternal peace, sweet little angel.
