I would also like to add a few comments. I believe every life leaves a legacy and I prayed and asked God what He wanted me to take from Grandma’s life. An obscure scripture came to mind. In Zechariah it talks about not despising the day of small things. It basically says that God is going to level a mountainous task not by might not by power but by His Spirit.
The principle here is that God wants us to concentrate on the small things while He accomplishes the big things by His Spirit.
Grandma was a small thing in a lot of ways. She was physically small and She attributed the long life in part to not worrying and taking life as it comes. She could have chosen another path. She did work in the business world-a big thing in those days-But she eventually decided to come back serve her aging parents, and eventually started a family of her own. She always lived simply she was not a consumer.
We live in a complicated world. We accumulate material possessions. We are always busy and we all want to be somebody. We are often too busy to think of others.
I have a tendency to want to complicate my life. But what God wants from me is to be faithful in the small things like grandma was, like mama was when she continued to take care of her mother-n-law for years after daddy died, and like Becky who kept Grandma at home until the last week of her life.
Jesus says to us : "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest."Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Dosn’t that sound relaxing? Why do I work so hard to gain so little when God is my provider. Thank you God for Grandma’s example

So very sorry about the loss of Ms.Flossie. What a wonderful lady. her family has my deepest sympathy .
and for her to be the longest living person in Kansas well see how wonderful she was. GOD wanted her to be here on earth all these years because she just wasnt done doing her job on here yet. now he is ready for her to come home and tell her story of her life on earth.
and it will be a long one. and how much she loved her family....
i had a rabbit that lived to be 15yrs old. and my chinchilla lived to be 16yrs. my shih tzu was 17yrs when she past away. and my grandma just turned 80 in january. and i would love it if she would have 20 more yrs to go...so i am hoping that since i keep my pets for a very long time and my grandma and me love each other so very much, i am hoping that Flossie keeps an eye on my grandma and helps her live all of those 20 yrs...Flossie God bless you, my dear sweet Lady

Flossie was a wonderful person and she touched the hearts of everyone who meet her. As nurses at SBA, we all enjoyed taking care of Flossie. She loved life and family and was always very greatful to everyone around her.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Flossie personally, but she has touched my life with her testimony. I first learned of Flossie through a Channel 10 story of her. There really are only 2 things things I remember from that particular story. 1) She attributed her longetivity to leading a moral life, and 2) she was most proud of the fact that all her children and grandchildren were Christians. My sincerest condolences to the family of such an inspirational lady.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day. (2Tim 4:7-8)
