Another guy I loved to watch, growing up is gone. I will miss Frank Bank, who portrayed Lumpy, er, Clarance Rutherford, on "Leave It To Beaver." Sometimes I feel like "Lumpy", a nice person, likes to hang with the crowd, sometimes slow, weight problem, but still a sweet person. Frank Bank will be terribly missed, but I will never forget him as Lumpy. Another person I loved to watch is gone, there goes another part of my childhood!

Lumpy, you and Eddie are members of our childhood pantheon. How many people have we met over the past 50 years and described as "another Lumpy Rutherford" or "a real Eddie Haskell"? We always knew you didn't have it in your heart to pound the Beaver.

Thank You, Frank, for playing an important part in the cultural development of an entire generation of Americans. I just watched the episode where Clarence thinks he's getting a scholarship to State and all his friends throw a party for him. Check it out to see that this actor was capable of far more than the occasional walk-on or one-liner. I extend my sincere sympathy and condolences to Frank's family and friends. God Bless.
