Irene Demarest

BUTLER — Services were held for Irene Demarest, 79, of Inman, S.C., who died on Sunday, September 25, 2011. She was a former resident of this borough.

Mrs. Demarest was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Also, she was an accounts representative for United National Bank before retiring.

Mrs. Demarest is survived by her husband, Lester; her sons, Keith of Flemington, David of Galloway, and Craig of Oak Ridge, N.C.; her daughters, Margaret Demarest Winch of Spartanburg, Patricia Bowker of West Grove, Pa., and Karen Wight of Denver, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth Marion and Theresa Wyble Marion Fitzpatrick; her stepfather, Patrick Fitzpatrick; and her brother, Leonard Marion.
