One of his closest friends remembered his strong work ethic: "He wanted to be the best at what he did, and he would work very hard to achieve that. So if he had to put in the long hours to get it right, he'd do it. If he had to stay to work a double (shift), he did it. That's why whatever job he went to, he became a manager."

I didn't know Jean Personally but I did see him weekly at the checks cashed that he worked at. He was very kind and he was also very fast at counting money . I'm not sure if this is a pointless memory but when I saw his face on the tv I felt so hurt just to know I knew someone who was once here is now not and he had so many years left . My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. losing someone is never easy ...
