Mr. Joe was literally one of the coolest characters I encountered in the New Orleans classic hospitality scene — watching him man the cash register, shuck bar and table service all at once was magic and his aloof vibe was just focus. He was the kindest, most attentive and capable host. I will always remember him.

…because time and unexpected events overtake them all. For man does not know his time. Just as fish are caught in an evil net and birds are caught in a trap, so the sons of men are ensnared in a time of disaster, when it suddenly overtakes them (Eccl. 9:11,12). Our families and yours must continue to rely on God in these tragic times. We continue to pray for the lost of you and yours.

To the Casamento family: May the comfort from family and friends strengthen you during this difficult time, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

My sympathy as a fellow evacuee. I didn't know Joseph or the family, but it seems that he was a fine and much loved man.
