Je suis vraiment désole pour le morte de Michel. Mais j’espère que l’espérance de la résurrection fortifier votre fois en un monde meilleure (Jean 5 : 28, 29 ; Psaume 37 : 10, 11).

For Maurice...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

I cherish and keep the movie Dr. Zhiavgo, but love the song "Lara's Theme". Which I call "Somewhere My Love". You are their singing with angles and the Lord. My favorite song.

We will always cherish the masterpieces of Mr. Jarre. May you and your family find comfort in knowing that God cares for you. Your loved one is in his memory. Jesus taught us to pray "Our Father in the heavens, let . . . your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth." (Matthew 6:9, 10) God cares so much for us that he made provision for us to have a happy and peaceful life. (John 3:16) Our prayers will continue for you and your family and we send our heartfelt condolences.

My deepest condolences go to the family, friends and admirers Mr. Jarre leaves behind. His music was as grand and sweeping as the films he scored. What a precious and rare gift he possessed and what a precious and rare legacy he leaves to the world.
May he rest peacefully for all eternity.

Enhancing the film going experience with a vision of music is one life's little treats- and most enduring experiences. Jarre must have contained vast resources of inner beauty to put such love in our ears. That your art can live on for all time shows that such people can be immortal. Thanks for the truly wonderful sharing.

What a very talented man Mr. Jarre was! He has written some of my favorite pieces. Lawrence of Arabia still includes some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard as well as that to Dr. Zhivago. We are so sad for the loss to Mr. Jarre's family and friends, but always encouraged by the Bible's promise of the resurrection. Jo. 5:28, 29 Then all sadness will be replaced with total joy when those who have died are brought back at a time when there will be an abundance of peace. Ps. 37:10, 11

I met Mr Maurice Jarre many years ago during my management of Gucci Beverly Hills and he left an ever lasting impression because of his gentle and humble rapport with people, inspite of his stature in the movies and music world.I am very sad to hear that he is gone, but consoled by his beautiful music.....Nicola Minelli,Los Angeles

My condoleances to the whole family and in particular Jean-Michel, his son, whom I sent a french bible a while ago in which we can read that we will be able to see his father again in a restored Paradise on earth in the near future. There he will get a resurrection and a perfect body and he can live there forever, as well as everyone on this planet where Jesus died for. For now it is very hard, remember that even Jesus cried when he found out that Lazarus had died, although Jesus knew he had the power to awake him from the dead, as he did later. God knows that we suffer from this enemy: death, and just like Jesus he is eager to give people a resurrection in Paradise. If he could, he would do it sooner, but as the bible explains, there is a reason why we have to wait before this happens and in the meantime God will give us the strength to endure hardships and the loss of family members and loved ones. Have strength. May God bless you, Love, Jacqueline Ploss-Speerstra from the Netherlands and my husband who is in Erie, PA. [email protected]

I am sorry to hear that this talented and brilliant artist is gone from us.
Doctor Zhivago, filmed in the early '60s was my very favorite movie of all time.
Mr. Jarre's great music really put it all together perfectly.
He will certainly be missed my many.
My heart goes out to his family and loved ones at this sad time.
You were loved, dear Maurice Jarre, and you will never be forgoten.

To The Jarre Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. We know death is a painful experience for all. However, God has offered comfort and hope through his word the bible (Romans 15:4). He also promises that there will be a resurrection (John 5:28, 29). How we all yearn for the time when we can see our dead love ones again. May the memories of love shared give you peace, strength and comfort now and in the days ahead.

To the Jarre family, may I offer my most sincere condolences. Your father composed many, many wonderful pieces, but my favorites were, of course, Lawrence of Arabia and Dr, Zhivago. His music brought everlasting enjoyment to the masses. His genius, thankfully, is captured forever on film and various recordings. To honor your father, I'm going to go to my record collection now and play these wonderful scores again. Thank you, Mr. Jarre, for all you have given us.
