Still missing my mentor and friend today. My phone doesn't ring at 5am anymore, but his teachings and legacy still come to me every morning. Love You Uncle Max and all your family as well.

My Dearest Max,
Too many sunups and too many sundowns since I walked by your side,
Too many teardrops and too many roses have died,
Only God and His Angels know how much I miss you,
But I will walk on and on until we meet on the other side.
From your Beloved Wife, Connie

Max: You are missed already. So many great family memories in Texas, Michigan, California...Nevada. Fun times.
I will miss your contagious laugh, funny comments, and your cute, bouncy walk. I hope you have hooked up with Dad, Mom, your Dad, so many who are there to "show you around" and I am sure you will help entertain everyone. Our memories of all the funtimes you provided will always be with us. Big hugs, Unca Mocky from Aunt Grass.

Working with Max over the past several years has been a great pleasure. He was a gentleman's gentleman, always positive and energetic. He continuously encouraged those around him, even though the business climate was gloomy.
Every time I met with Max he spoke of family beginning with grandkids, whom he adored, kids and wife. Clearly he loved family above all else.
I considered him a friend, now one I will sincerely miss.
I presume he is currently taking a positive leadership role on the right hand . . .

Max was a wonderful man and will be missed. I was lucky enough to skate at the rink in San Benito and get to know Max as a friend. He was a very good friend to my parents, Cotton and Helen Smith, and to my husband and I. Max had a great influence on many a teenager in the Valley through the skating rink. He and Connie were loved by many.

Watching a peaceful death of a loved one reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever. Max will be truely missed by all of us who truly loved him as a friend. Our prayers are with you and your family. Loved you like a big brother. Oneida and Sallie Gonzalez

Max was a unique person - he infected all those around him with his joy of life and an enthusiasm for the project at hand. It was a privilege to have Max as my dear friend, role model and mentor. Max, rest in peace in God's Kingdom. You are missed terribly here on earth.
