Al was a respected acting/ improv/directing professor at the School of Dramatic Art, University of Windsor, where I was a beginning teacher. I learned so much from him and so did the student actors in his charge. His talent was valued by all. The SODA was a better place with his passion, talent, and skill freely shared there. God bless Al's family. Rest in peace Al. You gave so much not only to your profession but also to generations of acting students. Diana Mady Kelly

Those of us whose lives he touched have been changed forever. I am so lucky to have been one of them. I shall never forget him. His passion, was more than enough to drive us all. I thank his family for sharing him with me and all of the folks that passed through his life in Denison, Iowa at Midwestern College and elsewhere. My sympathy to his family and may you 'break a leg' on the greatest of stages. Don Uker (Casa Grande, AZ)

Al was a good and thoughtful friend. We first met him when we studied together at the Neighborhood Playhouse way back in 1948 to 1950. One by one the class has been diminished but the memories remain. Al was a dedicated actor, a proud father and husband, a teacher of young actors, and a loyal friend. Rest in Peace Al, our love ad prayers. Nancy and Steve Pluta

My deepest sorrow and tears to the family of the deceased. May these words bring you hope and consolation: "...Hear the promise God has made: He will call; the dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he has a longing for the work of his own hand..." See John 14: 13-15, John 6: 40; 11: 11, 43; Jas. 4: 14

Mr. Ruscio was not only a fine actor...he never forgot his roots in Salem. He was a childhood friend of my brother-in-law Steve Squillace (aka Bruce Stevens) and never forgot to visit with him or have him him entertain at family parties when Mr.Ruscio came back to MA. Steve loved his friend. Rest in peace gentlemen.

In the year 1966 through 1967 I was Al Ruscio's student at Midwestern College located in Denison, Iowa, Donna Reed's hometown. Everyone admired Mr. Ruscio. I will never forget his taking the time , one day, to sit down with me and tell me how he first served in the military in order to obtain the benefits of government paid college tuition. He really paid his dues and was a great actor/artist and human being. Rest in peace Al Ruscio.
