For Arthur...
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

That voice, that presence, there was an integrity and credibility that showed through. I watched him on Owen Marshall, as a child, and remember those traits all these years later

It is now January 2007. On the Screen Actor Guild award show, Arthur Hill's passing was noted. In all the years I have watched his TV show, movies, there was always somthing so familiar. He reminds me so much of my father, his voice, mannerisms, and gentle ways. My father died of dementia and I took care of him for a year before he died. I am saddened to know that Mr. Hill had a similar disease. It is so painful to expereience some one you love losing themsleves and know that there is nothing you can do. Mr. Hill had such a special grace that you always believed in him and trusted his performance. That is what made him so remembered as you would say, I know him and you remember all of his work. I know his family cherishes the time they had with him. Always remember that even though you don't realize it, there can be a time in any day when someone somewhere is thinking of you and has the fondest memories of Mr. Hill

I always enjoyed Arthur Hill. After being first introduced to him through Owen Marshall: Counselor at Law, I tried to see everything he did. He was a man we all wished to claim as our own--whether as a friend, a brother, a father, or a grandfather. Now those who truly did belong to him have lost someone very special. My sincerest condolences to them. God bless you, Arthur Hill, for all the contributions you made on this Earth. You enriched us all!

I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Hill. I remember him in many programs, too numerous to mention, on tv and the movie screen. It is so sad to hear that a man that made his living with memorizing lines for roles that he played developed Alzheimer's disease. The inspired prophet foretold that no one will say: “I am sick.” Moreover, in the new world near at hand, “the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness.”—Isaiah 33:24; 35:5,6. And the Bible also speaks of a resurrection, "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment."
John 5:28,29

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the Hill family. I would also like to send a word of comfort. Jesus was very much touched by the death of his friend Lazarus . In the book of John 11:23-26 he tells Mary her brother is sleeping and will rise again. The he began to weep. He also resurrected him to show what he will do for all mankind. What comfort we can draw from the scriptures.

Always loved watching Mr. Hill in the many shows/movies he appeared in. He was so convincing as Grandpa Ingalls in Little House he seemed to actually be Laura's grandpa. He's finally at peace now as we all hope one day to be.
God bless his family and comfort each one.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I never knew him personally but I did watch him when he played Owen Marshall on TV.
You will be truly missed in the film industry.
My husband has Alzheimer's too, so I know what the illness does.
You are in HEAVEN now with JESUS, you are out of the suffering.
GOD BLESS YOU and your FAMILY
